I had the honor to chair 2 symposia at the International Convention of Psychological Science in Vienna the last days, and gave 3 talks. You can find all presentations below.

You can find my talks here:

  • The 52 symptoms of depression: a content analysis of 7 depression rating scales (download).
Symposium: Investigating the heterogeneity of Major Depression with novel symptom-, factor-, and network-based models.
  • Depression as a complex system of causally interacting symptoms (download).
Symposium: Comparing recent advances in endophenotypic, developmental, and network perspectives on depression: is an integrated theory of depression possible?
  • An introduction to Symptomics (download).
Symposium: Symptomics: analyzing the differential relationships of individual depression symptoms with risk factors, biological markers, and treatment response.

The authors of the two symposia I chaired also agreed to publish their presentations here, I highly recommend you give them a brief read:

  • Investigating the heterogeneity of Major Depression with novel symptom-, factor-, and network-based models; with talks by Klaas Wardenaar, Rob Wanders, Aurelie Wagener, and Eiko Fried (download).
  • Symptomics: analyzing the differential relationships of individual depression symptoms with risk factors, biological markers, and treatment response; with talks by Eiko Fried, Fredrik Hieronymus, Markus Jokela, and Mats Nagel (download).

My thanks to all the speakers, to Sam Winer and Richard Liu who invited me to introduce the Network Approach to Depression, and to Klaas Wardenaar for co-chairing the Symptomics symposium with me.
